Chris Douglas-Roberts is bringing short shorts back to the NBA
Anyone who’s seen highlights of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and John Stockton has no doubt noticed how short the shorts used to be in the NBA. They eventually went away, because, well, they should have. We can thank Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, and the rest of the Fab Five in part for the baggy shorts renaissance.
Chris Douglas-Roberts of the Los Angeles Clippers is trying to bring back the short shorts look, however. He told us of his plans earlier this month.
On Thursday, the above picture appeared on Douglas-Roberts’ Instagram account with the following caption:
“Shut ya player hatin ass up & watch the Wave God shift the culture of the NBA. #MediaDay #Clippers #DCTG”
Well then. It looks like Douglas-Roberts was quite serious about getting his John Stockton on this season. I think it’s safe to say, this is a trend that won’t be catching on league-wide.
