Report: David Blatt to return to Europe, coach team in Turkey
David Blatt has reportedly landed a head coaching gig for next season — it just isn’t with an NBA team.
According to basketball reporter David Pick, Blatt has reached an agreement with Turkish team Darussafaka.

Darussafaka's deal with David Blatt, I'm told, is long-term for $1.7-2m per season.

Returning overseas seemed like the best option for Blatt from the time the Cleveland Cavaliers shockingly decided to fire him. He was reportedly in the mix for some NBA head coaching vacancies, but obviously there wasn’t enough interest to keep him around.
Blatt won a Euroleague championship in 2014 and was named the Euroleague Coach of the Year that same season. He also won the Israeli Cup six times and was named the Israeli League Coach of the Year four times. Perhaps he is more comfortable being out of the NBA given all the drama that unfolded during his time in Cleveland.
