Diana Taurasi and Seimone Augustus were called for fouls on Thursday after the Phoenix Mercury guard planted a kiss on the Minnesota Lynx star during an argument. Seriously.
The Mercury were getting blown out at the time of the kiss, so the highlight of the game was the battle between the two stars. They were talking a lot of trash back and forth, so when they got close, Taurasi reacted by kissing Augustus. The referee called fouls on both players, and you could see Taurasi raise her hands in a “what’d I do?” type of way.
The Lynx won the game 85-62 to take a 1-0 series lead in the best of 3 for the WNBA’s Western Conference finals.
Taurasi’s final state line: 15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 kiss, and 1 ejection.
