Draymond Green admits to chasing triple-double against Sixers

Prior to Saturday’s game between the Warriors and Sixers, you wouldn’t have been alone in thinking Golden State would win the game comfortably. However, that wasn’t the case as the Warriors needed a three-pointer from Harrison Barnes with less than second to go in regulation to escapee Philadelphia with a 108-105 victory.

After leading at halftime 73-54, the Warriors were surprisingly outscored 51-35 in the second half. Golden State’s poor second half almost resulted in a loss to the team with the fewest wins in the NBA.

After the game, Draymond Green admitted that he chased a triple-double, which didn’t help matters.

Good on Draymond Green to admit that chasing a triple double got GSW into some trouble

The Sixers may be at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but they can catch a team by surprise on occasion and almost pulled off a David vs. Goliath style upset on Saturday.

Green finished the game with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists. He has eight triple-doubles so far this season, the most in the NBA. The fact that Green didn’t record his ninth may end up being a good thing because it appears a lesson may have been learned, which is good for Green and the Warriors, but probably bad for the rest of the league.
