George Karl gets high five from DeMarcus Cousins after technical foul (Video)
George Karl’s time as head coach of the Kings hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts. However, he appeared to have a bonding moment with the team’s star, DeMarcus Cousins, on Saturday.
Late in the second quarter, Karl was whistled for a technical foul while never getting up out of his chair. As Brandon Knight shot the technical free throw, Cousins exchanged a few words and smiles with his coach. After the ball went through the basket, Cousins gave Karl a high five.
Cousins is, of course, no stranger to technical fouls. He’s been assessed 6 so far this season, which is tied for second most in the NBA. Cousins’ perspective on Karl’s technical is that it came one game too late.
DeMarcus Cousins said he told George Karl after the coach picked up his technical, that they needed that tech against the Sixers, not today
