JaKarr Sampson of the Sixers is in his first NBA season. On Thursday, he was the victim of the type of treatment often received by players during their rookie year.
Sampson was walking through the parking garage only to find his truck wrapped in aluminum foil. As expected, hilarity ensued. Thankfully, teammate Robert Covington was present to record video of Sampson’s reaction.
In the grand scheme of rookie hazing, I suppose this isn’t as bad as having to get an awful haircut or dress up like Gumby. As far as NBA car pranks go, Festus Ezeli of the Warriors can sympathize with Sampson. Ezeli had the wheels removed from his car during his rookie season.
