Kevin Durant: Russell Westbrook put Michael Carter-Williams in his place
Kevin Durant had a great line about the point guard battle Friday between Russell Westbrook and Michael Carter-Williams.
The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the 76ers 103-91 in Philly Friday in the Sixers’ first game since getting their first win of the season Wednesday. Sixers point guard Carter-Williams must have been feeling pretty cocky after his first win of the year, because he was doing some talking to Durant and Westbrook.
Michael Carter-Williams doing a lotta chirping at both Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Interesting strategy.

Westbrook went on to score a game-high 27 points on 8-for-14 shooting while grabbing five rebounds and dishing seven assists. After the game, Durant said Westbrook put MCW in check.
Kevin Durant on MCW chirping at Westbrook: "I think (Russ) put him in his place. Let him know who the best point guard in the league is."

Russell Westbrook on MCW's trash talk: "That’s kinda how I play, that’s what I do. If that’s what he wants do, good…They lost."

Carter-Williams only shot 6-for-19, but he was credited with seven rebounds and 14 assists. Though Russ showed up MCW, we won’t give it to the young Syracuse product too badly; it must be disheartening playing on that crap team. At least he’s still playing with heart.
