Kevin Garnett thinks it’s f—ing bulls— he was not credited with rebound (Video)
Kevin Garnett has been one of the NBA’s best rebounders his entire career. In fact, he had a streak of recording at least one rebound in every game he played since January 21, 1997. But on Saturday, that streak came to an end when he failed to grab a rebound in the Boston Celtics’ 92-79 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Celtics may have won the game, but Garnett was not happy about losing his streak. He went on a humorous rant about it while talking with reporters after the game. (NSFW language):
“I’m looking for the statistician around here. When I find out what he looks like, we might have some problems,” Garnett joked. “I had a rebound in the first quarter! That’s bulls— man! Naw that’s f—ing bulls— man! I had a rebound in the first half!”
“I think that’s an error. We’re going to fix that.”
When told the last time he didn’t have a rebound was 1997, Garnett was in shock.
“Better dust of that! Are you serious? That’s an error. They gotta go back and fix that,” he joked.
That was a funny rant and all, but what is it about Boston athletes always flipping out about their stats?
