Kobe Bryant had a freakout on the court in the final seconds of the Lakers’ loss to the Grizzlies Friday because he was upset with Jeremy Lin for not fouling.
Bryant had just made a 3-pointer with 24 seconds left to make it 106-105 Memphis. The Grizzlies got the ball and Mike Conley was dribbling out the clock. Kobe wanted the Lakers to foul and was screaming at Lin to foul Conley to stop the clock. When Lin didn’t act, Bryant took matters into his own hands and fouled Conley, who made one of two free throws.
The Grizzlies held on for a 109-106 win after Kobe missed yet another shot in the final seconds.

Even though it looked like Kobe was the only basketball-savvy Lakers player on the court, it turns out that Lin was just following instructions from his coach:
Regarding Kobe angrily fouling when Lin was waiting, Byron said he wanted Lin to wait till 10 secs left. And Byron said he told Kobe later.

Either Scott is covering for Lin, or he is just not a very good coach.
