NBA says Lil Wayne has not been banned from league events

Lil Wayne is one of the most famous rap stars in the world today, but that is apparently not enough. He also seems to crave any additional attention he can get from attending sporting events — particularly NBA games.

Over the weekend, Weezy told an audience in Houston that the NBA has banned him from attending games and other league-sponsored events. He also had some nasty things to say about Chris Bosh’s wife and some of the Heat players. According to NBA Senior Director of Basketball Communications Mark Broussard, Lil Wayne has not been banned from any NBA events.

Broussard reportedly told TMZ that there is “no truth at all” to Weezy’s claim that the NBA wouldn’t allow him in Houston for the All-Star game and has barred him from other league events. Weezy also recently claimed he was kicked out of a Heat game for cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers, but the team says that’s not the way it happened.

Between claiming teams have stopped him from purchasing playoff tickets and that he has been treated unfairly by stadium security, it’s impossible to tell if anything that Lil Wayne spews about his NBA experiences is true. The act is getting pretty old.
