I’ve heard some suggestions that the NBA and NFL rotate the venue for their respective drafts each year. I like this idea because I think it would be a great experience for cities and fans to host such a major event. There would be one problem, however: we wouldn’t be able to hear the reaction from the New York fans at the draft! Nothing says “You suck” to a G.M. quite like the boos after a screw-up like taking Kyle Brady in the first-round. Of course it was no surprise that the New York fans in attendance weren’t too happy with the Knicks’ pick of Arizona big man Jordan Hill at number eight overall. Check it out, the :25 mark is the best:

To be fair to Hill, any selection they made would have resulted in boos once their golden child, Stephen Curry, got snatched up at number seven by Golden State. Jeff Van Gundy had a classic response saying that none of the fans had even seen him play so they should keep their mouths shut. I dunno, I just think it’s in the blood of the NY fans to boo — just look at the kid who had his thumbs down before the dad turned it up!

I woulda been cheering if my team selected Jordan Hill. If you go by the fans, you’ll be sitting with them.
