Bo Ryan got his Gregg Popovich on during an interview with CBS’ Tracy Wolfson at halftime of Wisconsin’s 50-43 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game Sunday.
Ryan refused to give detailed answers to Wolfson, ensuring that the three-question interview didn’t last longer than 20 seconds.
“Well they made some shots,” Ryan answered one question.
He was asked a followup question about what adjustments they could make, and he was equally brief.
“Try to keep them from making shots.”
Surprisingly, the Badgers were actually leading 24-23 at the time. I’d hate to see what his answers would have looked like had they been losing.
We’re not fans of in-game interviews because we find them intrusive, but there’s no reason to be that rude. I think Ryan has been watching too many Popovich interviews lately.
