Brian Kelly gets in shoving match with assistant on Notre Dame sideline (Video)
Brian Kelly is a fiery figure on the Notre Dame sidelines, and one of his assistants was the victim of that on Saturday.
Kelly got into a shoving match with Fighting Irish strength coach David Grimes during the team’s 24-20 win over Temple. It was heated enough that Grimes had to be pulled away from the confrontation by a Notre Dame player.
After the game, Kelly downplayed the incident, explaining that he was simply trying to keep his team from picking up a 15-yard penalty.
