Darnell Dockett tries to recruit Braxton Miller to Florida State
Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett played his college ball at Florida State and wants nothing but the best for his alma mater. Sometimes he even acts as an unofficial recruiting coordinator.
Like the rest of the sports world, Dockett learned Wednesday that Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston would be leaving school to enter the NFL draft. Dockett was concerned about losing the Heisman Trophy winner:
Jameis gone to the draft, damn! Who's the back up behind him!….. I need answers!

That’s the bad news. The good news is that Dockett is aware that Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has interest in transferring to FSU. He sent this tweet to Miller:
@BraxtonMiller5 FSU or nah? Come on over bro, it's cold in ohio, hit my DM I'll make sure U good! We need U!

By “I’ll make sure U good,” we can’t imagine Dockett is talking about committing any sorts of NCAA violations with gifts, etc. No way at all.
Miller is a hot candidate to transfer after the season. The Buckeyes are stacked at the QB position with Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett, so Miller is just a surplus. Rumors have had him possibly going to Oregon, Duke and even LSU. Maybe Dockett’s influence will help sway Miller to Tallahassee.
Oh, and as far as Dockett’s tweeting goes, this is very tame for him. He gets wild and crazy the rest of the time.
