During Saturday’s game between Tennessee and Georgia, Jalen Hurd looked for all the world like he was headed for a touchdown. That, however, did not end up being the case.
In the second quarter, Volunteers quarterback Josh Dobbs hit Jalen Hurd for a 23-yard gain. After catching the pass, Hurd appeared to ease up and coast towards the end zone. That’s when he was hit by Deandre Baker, who dislodged the football. The fumble was recovered by Georgia.
If you don't run all the way to the end zone…this is what can happen. https://t.co/rjJOdTDFmM

The Bulldogs scored a touchdown on the ensuing drive. In a matter of minutes it went from looking like Tennessee would cut Georgia’s lead to 10-7 to the Volunteers staring a 17-point deficit in the face.
Let’s hope this trend of not running through the goal line comes to an end sooner rather than later.
