Manti Te’o shares voicemails from Lennay Kekua/Ronaiah Tuiasosopo (Audio)

ronaiah tuiasosopoEarly Thursday morning, a report surfaced that may help us understand more about the Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax. It was originally believed that Ronaiah Tuiasosopo had a woman posing as Lennay Kekua to speak with Te’o on the phone. However, Tuiasosopo’s lawyer said that Ronaiah was actually the voice behind Kekua.

On Thursday, Katie Couric’s show released several voicemails that Te’o says were left on his phone by Kekua.

If you listen to the audio clips below (via Deadspin), you will hear that the voice of “Lennay Kekua” is feminine sounding.

This is reportedly Kekua speaking to Te’o before her first chemotherapy session:

A jealous Kekua sounding very upset over Te’o supposedly having a girl in his room:

A voicemail left for Te’o on Sept. 11, 2012 — the day Kekua says she was released from the hospital. She “died” a day later.

How creepy is that? There’s no way to tell that the voice on the phone is a man, even when you’re already listening for a man’s voice. If the voice is indeed Tuiasosopo’s, it just further confirms how much of a master he is at manipulation and how far he was willing to go to establish a relationship with Te’o.
