Former USC quarterback Max Browne officially announced on Thursday that he is transferring to Pitt.
Browne shared the news on his Twitter account, which included an image of him in what will be his new jersey:

Browne followed the Pitt Twitter account, as well as that of Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi a few weeks ago, indicating a high level of interest in the program. He took an official visit to the school over the weekend and solidified his commitment this week.
Browne came to USC as a highly-touted recruit, but things never panned out. He red-shirted his first year, then was a backup to Cody Kessler, and he was replaced by Sam Darnold early in the season as the Trojans’ QB.
Browne will be a graduate transfer and eligible to start for Pitt next season. They need a QB with the graduation of Nathan Peterman coming.
