The woman who recently filed a lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe is an adult-content creator who has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, and those who are familiar with her likely know her as Karli.
Sharpe has been sued in Nevada by a woman named Gabriella Zuniga. The woman, who says she entered into a consensual relationship with Sharpe after the two met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023, is seeking more than $50 million after she claims Sharpe assaulted her on multiple occasions.
While Zuniga filed her lawsuit as Jane Doe, Sharpe’s legal team has since identified as part of their response to the allegations. Sharpe’s attorney Lanny Davis revealed that Zuniga goes by the internet persona “Karli” and has the social media handle @sheiskarli.
Zuniga has more than 500,000 followers on Instagram. She has gained well over 10,000 followers since Sharpe’s lawyers identified her. The @sheiskarli Instagram profile features mostly bikini and lingerie photos of Zuniga and also contains a link to her OnlyFans pages, where she charges $12.99 per month for a so-called VIP subscription.
Sharpe has vehemently denied all of the allegations from Zuniga. Sharpe’s legal team says Zuniga’s lawsuit contains a highly edited video of a sexual encounter that aims to misrepresent the relationship between the two. The 56-year-old’s lawyers have also provided copies of graphic text messages that they say prove Zuniga is misrepresenting the dynamic between her and Sharpe.
Zuniga’s lawyers have released audio and new text messages that they claim are proof Sharpe abused Zuniga. Sharpe’s lawyers say all of the messages are taken out of context. They also say Zuniga began trying to blackmail Sharpe after she realized Sharpe was unwilling to have a baby with her.
Prior to Zuniga filing her lawsuit, Sharpe offered to settle for a significant sum of money.
