Bill Cosby Loves the Broncos, Thinks Tim Tebow Can Control the Weather (Video)

Bill Cosby is getting up there in age. He’s 74 years old and it appears things are still going fairly well for him, so good for Bill.  That being said, I have to admit his mini rant about Tim Tebow and the Broncos was a little weird.  Apparently Cosby has bought into the theory that Tebow is the second coming of Jesus himself.  How else would you explain the fact that he thinks Tebow can control the weather on March 31?  Check out this strangely entertaining video that we came across on Tebow’s Twitter account:

Tebow may have had more success than a Broncos legend through his first 10 starts, but can he control the weather?  I think you need at least 20 solid starts to do that during the season and at least 40 to control it smack dab in the middle of the offseason.  Tebow wrote on his Twitter account that he appreciates the support from Cosby and is a big fan of Jell-O.  Frankly, I’m surprised he even took a few seconds out of his day to Tweet. He usually spends all his time working toward becoming a better FOOT-ball player.

I challenge you: I assert that even after his obvious improvement last Sunday, and even if Tebow continues to improve (which if his name wasn’t “Tebow” you would fully expect), that you will continue to set the standard higher and will never find yourself saying that Tebow deserves any credit.
I realize there are a lot of non-sports types out there supporting him for non-sports reasons and that probably offends sports experts like you. Laying aside the old ladies who find the apparently nice boy Tebow to their liking, he is winning games and, though Denver was not able to coach him up during the offseason due to the lockout, he is now benefiting from the coaching he has been receiving as the starter.
You need to assess the real reason why you permit your obvious bias against him for things that he actually has very little to do with and attempt to actually compare his performance to other Quarterbacks at the same point in their development.

In translation, he said you are an a – hole, a position I completely endorse.

Gosh Steve, do you think it’s possible that Cosby was, you know, kidding around? In case no one clued you in, Cosby is a comedian by trade.

Gosh, Anonymous, do you think it’s possible that I was, you know, kidding around? In case no one clued you in, this isn’t CNN News.

    Can I ask why?

Very original reply Steve. Good work. It didn’t sound like you were kidding. I guess your writing style needs some work.

“Apparently Cosby has bought into the theory that Tebow is the second coming of Jesus Christ himself. How else would you explain the fact that he thinks Tebow can control the weather on March 31?”

I would explain it that he was kidding.

So you’re saying I should spell out the fact that I don’t actually think that Bill Cosby believes Tim Tebow is the second coming of Jesus and I don’t actually think that Bill Cosby believes Tim Tebow can control the weather? That isn’t ridiculous enough as is for someone to know I’m being sarcastic?

I’m not getting the sarcasm, and what is there in the story to be sarcastic about anyway? Nor would I describe his statement as a “rant”. He was just being silly.

You’re right. Bill Cosby discussing Tim Tebow and the Broncos is a very serious matter. We’ll re-write or remove this post as soon as we can. Sorry to have upset you.

What?… sorry I was just watching the replay of the miraculous Broncos/Vikings game. Serious? I though I characterized it as silly.
