Brock Osweiler knows he’s going to become a very rich man in the next few weeks, and he managed to avoid risking that too much in a confrontation with hecklers over the weekend.
TMZ Sports obtained video and details of the incident, which took place early Saturday morning in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Broncos quarterback, who is facing free agency, was confronted by some hecklers, one of whom apparently went after Osweiler’s wife. Osweiler shoved her aside as he and his party headed for their vehicle, which led to another man shoving Osweiler toward the vehicle.
As you can see, after the initial incident, Osweiler calmly sticks by the vehicle and gets in as police intervene, and he walked away unhurt and without any incident.
Not that anyone wants to get caught in a situation like this, but if Osweiler had to be, the ultimate outcome is probably the best he could have hoped for. He’d have been better off not engaging the woman in the first place, but things didn’t escalate any further in an awkward situation and he didn’t do anything that will jeopardize the fact that he’s about to get at least $12 million per year from somebody. We’ll see if the league has anything to say about this.
