Colts offer to give fans DVD in exchange for expired prescription pills
The Indianapolis Colts announced a new promotion on Thursday that will make you scratch your head.
Any fans who have unused or expired prescription medications are welcome to bring them to Colts training camp and trade them for a 2014 season highlight DVD.
Bring unused or expired Rx prescriptions for safe disposal to #ColtsCamp on 8/9 & receive the 2014 highlight DVD! http://t.co/1iZAPMg60c

Annnnnnnd cue the jokes about the prescription medications going straight into team owner Jim Irsay’s medicine cabinet.
A later tweet clarified that it is not the team that is actually collecting the drugs.
Indiana Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force is collecting old or expired Rx prescription drugs at #ColtsCamp on 8/9. http://t.co/doCl4cwfER

Look, we understand the Colts were trying to do something to help the community. The last thing we want is prescription medications being disposed of improperly and ending up in the hands of children or criminals. But did the team’s marketing department completely forget about the details surrounding Irsay’s arrest last year? It sure seems like it.
