Dolphins will fine players for visiting ‘unauthorized’ sites on team-issued iPads

Let’s commend the Dolphins for taking a step toward the future by giving their players iPads loaded with plays rather having them tote thick binders around.

“I love it,” Reggie Bush said. “It makes it so much simpler, and obviously that’s where technology has taken us nowadays. It’s amazing, and I’m glad we got it.”

But such a luxury comes with a price. And a steep one, at that.

The Dolphins reportedly will be fining players a stiff $10,000 if they’re caught accessing “unauthorized” websites on their new gadgets.

It’s not clear how exactly the Dolphins will monitor the players’ activity. Honor system? Special spying software? Daily history checks? Whatever the case, it would make for a tremendous “Hard Knocks” moment if one player got busted for looking up Lauren Tannehill‘s Maxim spread.

What’s also not entirely clear is what sites classify as “unauthorized.” But according to the Sun-Sentinel, trips to YouTube and Twitter will definitely have you out 10 grand. It almost sounds like the Dolphins created this rule just because of Chad Ochocinco.
