Eagles player gets destroyed on hit … by Eagles player (Video)
A Philadelphia Eagles player laid a crushing hit during Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, the only problem was it against one of his teammates.
Eagles QB Nick Foles was intercepted on a 1st-and-10 pass from the Cardinals’ 25 in the second quarter of a 7-7 game, leaving the offensive players to try making a play on Antonio Cromartie. Receiver Jeff Maehl tried to chase down Cromartie, but he was destroyed by teammate Matt Tobin, an offensive lineman who was trying to make the tackle.
Cromartie got a pretty decent return and brought it to the 38. Though his offense couldn’t convert the turnover into points, the play highlighted many game-changing moments by the Arizona defense. They caused three turnovers in the game to prevent Philly from scoring more points. That kept the game close until the Cardinals were able to win it with a bomb from Carson Palmer to John Brown with 1:21 left.
Maybe the Eagles learned the move from the Florida Gators:
