Jimmy Garoppolo admits reaction to adult film star date was ‘learning experience’
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo clearly was not expecting his social life to be such a popular topic of conversation.
Garoppolo was criticized by some for going on a date with adult film star Kiara Mia, where he was spotted by paparazzi and became something of a viral sensation. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he admitted that his private life becoming public fodder is proving to be a “learning experience” for him.

“Life is different now,” Garoppolo said. “My life off the field, I’ve never really been big on being very public with things. Even social media, I’m not out there a ton. My life’s looked at differently. I’m under a microscope.
“Like Kyle [Shanahan] said, it is a good learning experience. Just have to take it in stride. It is what it is.”
It’s about all he can say. Garoppolo is free to do what he wants off the field as long as it isn’t hurting him or the team, and it doesn’t seem like this is. In fact, Garoppolo’s friend seems to think it’s only going to help him, so it’s safe to say the quarterback doesn’t and shouldn’t care too much about the critics.
