Matthew Stafford’s fiancee takes shot at refs with Instagram post

The Cowboys eliminated the Lions from the playoffs on Saturday and the hot topic after the game (and Monday) was a play where Lions linebacker Anthony Hitchens was initially called for pass interference. However, the officials picked up the flag after deciding a penalty did not occur. Detroit was forced to punt and Dallas would end up driving for a touchdown that put them ahead 24-20.

Among those who feel the Lions were robbed is Kelly Hall, the fiancee of quarterback Matthew Stafford. “Refs can’t take these away! #friends #family
Grateful for their support this past weekend! #DETROITvsEVERYBODY” Hall wrote on Instagram along with posting the above photo.

Pete Morelli, the game’s crew chief, explained after the game why the flag was picked up, although Lions fans aren’t buying it. They aren’t the only ones. One player called what happened “shady.”

The situation will certainly serve as fuel for those conspiracy theorists who think games are fixed.
