Ty Warren on Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady debate: ‘Manning all day’

Ty Warren and Tom Brady have a long history together. The defensive tackle also has a long history with Peyton Manning — as an opponent. Warren played for the Patriots from 2003-2010, and New England won two of its three Super Bowls during that time frame. They also had countless battles with Manning and company during that eight-year span. Warren was seen as a strong locker room presence and a great teammate for the Patriots, so it is no surprise to hear that he is taking that same approach in Denver.

On Wednesday, Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post asked Warren his stance on the everlasting Manning vs. Brady debate.

“Manning all day,” Warren said. “What do you expect me to say? He’s my teammate.”

Keeping in mind that Warren probably made the comments tongue-in-cheek, there are a number of different things he could have said. Both are great competitors and great teammates. Both are Hall of Famers. Both are Super Bowl champions. Both are Super Bowl MVPs. Both are NFL MVPs. The list goes on and on. That being said, Brady is now the opposition. It’s not Warren’s job to support him. It is his job to support Denver’s new leader.
