St. Louis radio host Dino Costa is back making headlines for his sexist thoughts on sports talk radio.
Costa, who has a history of moving around media markets frequently, made waves on his Twitter page Sunday by tweeting that “women have no place in the world of legitimate sports talk radio.”
Like I've always said without apology…women have no place in the world of legitimate sports talk radio. No sexism, simply fact.#TeamDINO

Even women don't want to hear women doing sports radio…or covering much of the male dominated world of sports.

Costa seemed to revel in the hate and controversy as he continued the debate on his Twitter page, retweeting responses from supporters and detractors.
The morning drive host on 590 The Fan in St. Louis, Costa doubled down on his opinion Monday.
I stand by my opinion without apology. Women have not shown the ability to do sports radio effectively…the medium is all wrong for them.

I'll stand corrected if anyone can produce a single female doing sports radio with ratings with proven ability to drive revenue. Waiting.

He even mocked liberals in response.
Can someone please tell so many of these simpletons I said; 'SPORTS TALK RADIO?' Not sports media, sports talk radio. Liberals are so cute.

His defense was that men are not qualified to work at Hooters the same way women can’t do sports talk radio.
Men do not have the necessary fundamentals to be waitresses at Hooters. They would not effectively translate in such a capacity.#TeamDINO

What are you so worried about, Dino, that you have to bash women on the whole in sports talk radio? Are you fearful some will take your job? There is a list of women doing fine things in the world of sports talk radio and sports media in general. Maybe some of the men feel threatened by that, just like this guy when he went off on Jessica Mendoza last year.
Costa should worry less about women in sports talk radio and more about not making up bogus rumors about Mike Tyson dying like he once did a few years ago.
