A sports writer and a co-owner of an Indoor Football League team were two of the many people arrested in an Iowa prostitution sting on Tuesday.
The Des Moines Register reports that 58-year-old David Greenspon was one of the people arrested in the sting. Greenspon owns an advertising company, property management company, and he is one of the owners of the Iowa Barnstormers. The Barnstormers are best known as the team for whom Kurt Warner once starred before going on to NFL fame.
Greenspon was released from jail three hours after being booked.
The Register also had to report about one of their own being arrested.

Tommy Birch (pictured), a 31-year-old writer who covers Iowa State football, Iowa Wild hockey, and Iowa Cubs baseball for The Register was arrested in the sting.
Birch actually covered Cyclones football earlier in the day and had been tweeting quotes from the team up until the afternoon.
Between these guys and Greg Anthony, it’s been a bad year for sports folks getting caught in prostitution stings.
