Adrien Broner humps Marcos Maidana during fight (Video)

You know how we talk about Adrien Broner being desperate for attention? He’s so hungry for headlines and the spotlight that he’ll even break out a sex act in the ring while he’s losing a fight.

Broner was dropped for the first time in his career during the second round of his fight with Marcos Maidana on Saturday in San Antonio. He deserved the knockdown after what he did to Maidana a minute earlier.

With about 15 seconds left in the first round, Broner slipped behind Maidana in the corner and pretended to hump him. The Showtime announcers couldn’t believe the disrespectful act, and the crowd began to boo and even flipped him off for what he did.

A few minutes later, Maidana got even by flooring him.

Several rounds later, Maidana returned the favor by pretending to hump Broner:

Adrien Broner: Floyd Mayweather is my big brother, mentor

Adrien Broner freely admits that he is building himself in the image of Floyd Mayweather Jr., whom he describes as a brother and mentor.

Broner is a flashy trash-talker who seeks attention in any way he can get it. Whether it’s by leaking sex tapes or fake proposing to his girlfriend after fights, Broner wants people to know who he is and pay attention to him so that they buy his fights.

Where did he get that business model from? Floyd, of course.

“Floyd Mayweather is like a big brother to me,” Broner said on Showtime’s All Access program leading up to his fight with Marcos Maidana. “He’s a mentor, he’s somebody I can talk to about anything. Floyd took boxing to the next level. For me to see that firsthand, it only made me want to try to match what he’d done, or go past that.”

Mayweather, who earlier in the year switched networks from HBO to Showtime, was interviewed for the program and confirmed Broner speaks to him frequently.

“Every day Adrien calls me and asks me about different things. He wants to become a pay-per-view star. He has the remedy, but he has to know when to turn it on and when to turn it off,” said Mayweather.

Mayweather seems to have his business in order and know when to turn it on and off (except for when it comes to his drama with Princess Love, though he might actually enjoy the headlines he receives for that gossip). What Broner needs to learn is which ways to create hype.

Talking about stealing someone’s girlfriend and turning her into the central focus of a fight is good for publicity. So is fake proposing. But burning money and leaking disgusting sex tapes of yourself probably is not what you want to do.

But as far as Broner’s ability to surpass Floyd, he’ll have to really step up his game in the ring first before he can come close to matching Mayweather. We will give him credit, though, because it sure looks like he has a knack for drawing attention.

Adrien Broner talks about proposing to girlfriend before alleged sex tape leaks

Over the past several months, Adrien Broner has made more headlines for his raunchy sexual behavior than his boxing.

Last month, the 27-0 fighter posted a photo on Instagram of him receiving oral pleasure from two women at the same time. Earlier this year, a video of him supposedly giving oral pleasure to a stripper on stage hit the net. This week we saw more of the same.

Just like the previous stripper video, WorldStarHipHop posted video of Broner having a threesome with two supposed strippers. The video is very graphic and it’s difficult to tell if it’s Broner, but we don’t have many doubts. The video first appeared on World Star late Monday night/early Tuesday morning and is no longer on the site, but you can see it at MediaTakeOut. It’s pretty gross though.

The best part is right around the time the video was leaked, Broner sent this tweet (also take note of his spelling of “propose”):

Adrien Broner wears double gold grill in ring after win

Adrien Broner gold grill

Adrien Broner kept his swag at maximum level after narrowly escaping Paulie Malignaggi with a split decision victory at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday.

The man who looks up to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and whom Mayweather calls the “future of boxing” did his best “Money” impression by showing off his riches after his fight.

Broner wasted no time replacing the mouthpiece he used for the fight with a double gold grill. He even shouted out his jeweler in his postfight interview for making the 18 karat gold grill, which he had on both the bottom and top.

During his interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray, Broner said he would let his fans pick his next opponent, saying that he would fight whomever received the highest percentage of votes. He also kept up his trash talk by boasting about taking Malignaggi’s girlfriend.

“I beat Paulie. I left with his belt and his girl!” Broner proclaimed.

The taunt enraged Malignaggi, who got in Broner’s face in response. You can read the entire story about Broner taking Malignaggi’s girlfriend here.

So, which do you prefer, Broner’s gold grill, or the diamond one he wore in May?

And by the way, for someone who promotes himself as the next Mayweather, Broner looked nowhere near as impressive as Floyd is in the ring. He barely beat Paulie. He has a long way to go before reaching Mayweather status.

Adrien Broner makes Paulie Malignaggi’s ex-girlfriend Jessica Corazon central story

Adrien Broner made Paulie Malignaggi’s ex-girlfriend Jessica Corazon a central figure in the buildup to their Saturday fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and he continued to taunt Malignaggi over the issue after their fight ended.

In May, Broner introduced Jessica to the media by calling her on his cell phone and putting her on speakerphone during a press conference. Broner also brought Jessica to their press conference on Thursday, causing a shouting match between Broner and Malignaggi, according to the New York Daily News.

Jessica even did an interview with The Ring:

“[Being the center of attention is] a little crazy,” Corazon told The Ring. “I think Paulie’s crazy, I’m just here to support Adrien, and that’s what I’m doing.”

Corazon also explained her relationship history with Malignaggi.

“I dated Paulie for like six and a half, seven months, then he got a little physical, and I stopped talking to him. He’s embarrassed because obviously I’m fighting his opponent,” she said, likely meaning supporting instead of “fighting.”

In an interview with iPressFilmz, Corazon said she met Malignaggi at a club and that they went out on some dates after that. She says the two continued to talk as Malignaggi trained in Los Angeles, and she says she even attended the Brooklyn native’s November fight against Pablo Cesar Cano.

But at some point things went sour between the two, and Jessica now supports Broner.

“Adrien’s a really great person. I think he’s an exceptional boxer,” she told iPressFilmz.

Malignaggi has a different view of their relationship. He gave his side of the story in an interview with Thaboxingvoice.com.

Paulie Malignaggi: Adrien Broner’s knockout power is overrated

Paulie MalignaggiAdrien Broner is one of the best knockout artists in boxing, but that is not a concern for Paulie Malignaggi. At least, that’s what the Brooklyn native is saying leading up to their welterweight fight on Saturday.

Broner and Malignaggi will meet at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday with Malignaggi’s WBA welterweight champion belt on the line. Broner is 26-0 with 22 knockouts. Malignaggi is 32-4 with only seven knockouts. Malignaggi has won five fights in a row after losing three in a span of five fights, including defeats to Ricky Hatton, Juan Diaz, and Amir Khan. Just a glance at the numbers suggest that Paulie would struggle against a guy with so much knockout power, but he says that is not a concern.

“We’ll show him just how we live and show him just how weak he is. His power is overrated,” Malignaggi told reporters on Tuesday.

Paulie then said Broner’s impressive record was a reflection of poor competition.

“I could have knocked out 20 garbage men or laundromat workers too, but I chose to fight real opponents in my career.”

Broner has only gone the distance once in the last three years, and that came in a unanimous decision victory over Daniel Ponce de Leon two years ago. Malignaggi indicates he plans to continue a pattern he has established throughout his career and take Broner the distance.

Adrien Broner peels layer of skin off his face (Video)

Adrien Broner faceThis dude Adrien Broner is a real trip. Broner (26-0, 22 KOs) has an upcoming fight with Paulie Malignaggi on June 22 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The two have picked up their media blitz this week in order to promote the big fight. But when it comes to Broner, he will find multiple ways to entertain the masses.

From the same people who brought you the video of Broner paying a woman $200 to cut in line at the DMV comes this video of Broner peeling a layer of skin off his face. It’s clearly a funky substance and not skin, but Broner plays the role so well he makes the video funny. Just his expressions and acting crack me up.

I haven’t decided yet whether Broner will be able to get a knockout, but I do think he’ll win even if he is stepping up in weight to face Malignaggi.
