Being from New England, I know a little something about the girlfriend jinx.  Since Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen got together, the Patriots have not won a Super Bowl.  Before the two paired up, Brady led the Pats to three.  Is it crazy to blame Gisele for New England’s championship “drought” over the past six years?  Not for New Englanders.  Luckily for the Rangers’ Brad Richards, his new girlfriend appears to be doing quite the opposite for New York.

According to Just Jared, Richards has been dating actress/model Olivia Munn for the past couple weeks.  The first game the Rangers played while Richards was supposedly in his new relationship was on October 31st against the Sharks.  New York won that game and has won six more since, making them a perfect 7-0 since Richards and Munn got together.

Good luck charm?  Maybe so.  Richards has three goals and five points during the stretch, so it’s possible his new lady friend has injected some confidence and energy into his game.  Munn may not be able to work the magical powers that Justin Bieber music or talking to your bat can perform, but one thing’s for sure: the Rangers won’t be allowing any type of break-up until at least after the streak ends.

Rory McIlroy moved up to second in the world rankings after finishing tied for fourth in Shanghai this weekend. The young golfer took a picture with girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki, who’s ranked No. 1 in the WTA rankings, to celebrate the occasion.

I know they’re proud of their accomplishments, but between this lameness, and the whole “Wozzilroy” business, Rory is losing some serious bro points. I really don’t know how much more of this I can handle before I jump off the band wagon for good.

Hey Rory, remember Holly Sweeney? You know, the girl who helped keep you grounded? Yeah, we’d like to see you grovel to get her back again. We can’t take any more of this cheesiness.

The athlete power couple of Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki has come a long way since the first time they were spotted together last month. The only difference is unlike last time where they tried to kiss discreetly, this time they did it in front of the entire Yale football team:

Wozniacki confirmed the two were dating earlier this month and McIlroy acknowledged that Woz is his girlfriend. They’ve become pretty inseparable the last month with McIlroy traveling to support her at various tennis tournaments including this week’s New Haven Open. The good luck kiss helped her win her fourth straight win at the New Haven Open.

Tony Romo has never been one to try to hide his relationships.  Considering some of the women he has dated, why would he?  Just before going on IR, Romo proposed to the woman he is now married to, Candice Crawford.  TMZ was right there to capture the very public moment — right where Romo wanted them to be I’m sure.

While there will be many who think the Tony Romo and Candice Crawford wedding video is just darling, I find it to be a bit strange.  The production quality is almost too good.  Two people getting married is a very real thing.  The short video Crawford and Romo likely paid a fortune for to capture their special day seems a bit more like a promo video for one of the top resorts in Hawaii.  Check it out.

The recent news of actress Hayden Panettiere breaking up with heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko has been accompanied by some Dirty Sanchez speculation. No, I’m talking about Mark Sanchez and Hayden now dating.  In typical athlete/celebrity couple fashion, Sanchez denied the rumors in an interview with NFL.com. It’s possible the Jets quarterback is also concerned about getting his face pounded by Klitschko, but in any event we’re happy to see he’s moved on from 17-year-old millionaires to wealthy women who are actually old enough to be granted access to a night club in America.

Rumor Fix via Terez Owens was able to capture a few photos of Panettiere and Sanchez hanging out, albeit at an In-N-Out Burger in Southern California.  As far as we know there was no sign of Tim Lincecum, so the Giants hurler must have been between meals at the time.  Of course, there’s always the possibility that the two are just good friends.  Doubt it.  For all of the pictures of Mark Sanchez with Hayden Panettiere check out Rumor Fix.

After a two year relationship, Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko have decided to call things quits according to People Magazine. Hayden, whose last name amazingly is harder to spell than Wladimir’s, told the mag “Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends.” Klitschko meanwhile cited their long distance as an obstacle too difficult to overcome in their relationship.

We always found it extremely difficult to believe the two were dating since the day we first posted a picture of them together in January, 2010. Let’s put aside Hayden’s 5’2″ status and Wladimir’s gigantic 6’5″ frame — hey, we’ve seen Chris Bosh and his wife together, it’s pretty similar — but this was just one of the oddest couples possible.

First off, how did they even meet? I could see Hayden and some other Hollywood actor being together, or maybe even an athlete. But a Ukrainian boxer who many sports fans in America don’t even know? How did that end up happening? It’s so strange that I think it only makes sense that they eventually broke up.

The one downside I’ll admit is that Wlad’s fights now will be slightly less exciting unless he scores a rebound girl as nice as Shane Mosley’s. I’ll also end this post by asking the question many of you have in mind: How weird did it look when the two of them decided to … go out for dinner. Their sheer height and size difference is astonishing!

Much like Rory McIlroy’s girlfriend, Ellie Harvey, the wife of golfer Jason Day, got a lot of attention from fans watching the Masters on CBS.

Ellie Harvey and Jason Day were married in the fall of 2009, and there’s a great story about Day nailing a hole-in-one at her request in 2008. Day is Australian while Harvey is from Ohio, but the two met through Day’s coach and caddie, Col Swatton, according to the PGA’s site. Jason Sobel has more info on the couple, saying “they met five years ago when she was waitressing at a restaurant in Twinsburg, Ohio, but didn’t start seriously dating until coincidentally running into each other a few years later.”

Even though Day came up short in the Masters, there is little doubt many fans now have a new favorite golfer, thanks to his wife, Ellie Day. Day is the latest addition to the long list of our smokin hot sports girlfriends, go here to see them all.

Word has it Aaron Rodgers spoke with Tom Brady recently, and Tom told him there’s much more to winning a Super Bowl MVP than some jewelry and hardware.  Okay, maybe they didn’t talk, but Rodgers certainly seems to be figuring that out on his own.  The Packers quarterback is already reportedly dating Jessica Szohr, but Jessica hasn’t exactly been able to keep the hotties off of No. 12.  Word has it he was a popular commodity at the Circa Hollywood Dominos Oscar party last Thursday.  Here are some pictures of Aaron Rodgers with Stacy Keibler from Keibler’s twitter:

Now that we know the recent star of the Ellen Show and Keibler were acting like 15-year-old girls updating their Myspace account, we should also note that the NY Post reported Rodgers was “flirting” with Mila Kunis at the same party and both seemed to be very into each other.
