Nnamdi Asomugha may struggle to cover top receivers in the NFL these days, but the man sure excels at covering up details concerning his personal life. Asomugha managed to keep it under wraps that he was dating Kerry Washington for the past year, and the two even kept news of their June wedding private — until now.
E! reported on Wednesday that Asomugha and Washington got married in Idaho in June. The network even obtained a copy of the marriage license, which shows the date of the union as June 24.
Asomugha, who spent the last two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, is entering his 10th season in the NFL. He signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers in April and is no lock to make the club. Washington starred in “Django Unchained” and is known for her role on the TV show “Scandal.” She previously dated actor David Moscow, who played the young Josh Baskin in “Big,” for several years, and the two were even engaged before breaking up in 2007.
