The New York Yankees have struggled with their starting pitching lately but still have one of the best records in the league. They are always a team that looks to make additions prior to the trade deadline, and this year is not any different. But even if they don’t add starting pitching, manager Aaron Boone would not be worried.
Boone told the media Tuesday that he is confident in the team regardless.
Aaron Boone says he'll be confident even if the Yanks don't add a front-line starter.
“I would say there are a lot of ways to skin a cat," Boone said. "We have a lot of really good players and we have what we think is a very capable staff."

The Yankees were in on Marcus Stroman, but the Blue Jays traded him to the Mets. Texas Rangers starter Mike Minor is another pitcher they reportedly are tracking, but he supposedly has them on his no-trade list.
The Yankees have scored the second-most runs in MLB, trailing only the Red Sox. But their 4.39 team ERA is 15th in MLB, and none of their starting pitchers have an ERA below four. It’s hard to envision them beating the Astros or Dodgers without an improvement in that regard, but it still is possible.
