MLB players who go on rehab assignments to the minor leagues sometimes have to deal with the strange promotions and events that are held at the lower levels of baseball. Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uribe is no exception.
Uribe went viral this week while making a rehab appearance for the Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. His appearance came while the franchise was celebrating the predominant German heritage of the region with their annual “Bratoberfest” celebration.
That meant special uniforms, and thus we were treated to Uribe wearing lederhosen-style uniforms during his rehab outing.

Uribe is hardly the first Major Leaguer to have to don an unusual uniform while playing in the minors. Even bigger names have done it, and they do it without complaining.
The only thing funnier than the photo might have been if Uribe brought back one of his controversial celebrations while wearing that uniform.
