MLB agent Matt Sosnick arrested for domestic violence
MLB superagent Matt Sosnick was arrested this month for domestic violence against his wife, who has filed for a divorce, according to a report.
TMZ Sports reported on Saturday that Sosnick, whose clients include Pete Alonso and Blake Snell, was arrested on October 8 by Danville Police in Northern California for domestic violence and misdemeanor child endangerment.
Sosnick is accused of grabbing wife Erica’s neck and squeezing and then throwing her across the room where she crashed into a table, all with their 9-year-old daughter watching.
Erica initially filed for an immediate restraining order against Matt, but apparently intends to drop it. She has also filed for a divorce. The day after the alleged attack, Matt reportedly sent Erica text messages in which he said he was going to kill himself.
Jay Bruce, Blake Treinen, Max Keppler and Mitch Haniger are among some of Sosnick’s other clients.
