Barry Bonds looking skinnier, less muscular in Marlins camp
If you follow baseball at all, you’ve probably seen the side-by-side pictures of the hulking, muscular Barry Bonds in his San Francisco days contrasted with the smaller, wirier Bonds from his early days in Pittsburgh, just like the one above. Judging by the first look at Bonds in Marlins camp, he looks like he’s gotten back to his Pittsburgh days.
Here’s Bonds, the new Marlins hitting coach, in uniform on Saturday for the first time.
That diet's really working for Barry Bonds! Looks like he's dropped 80 lbs. Must've been jazzercising or something. pic.twitter.com/U64LLQnHuc

He definitely looks leaner than he did in his days with San Francisco, there is no question about that, especially compared with the other photo above
Bonds has, of course, been heavily linked to steroid use before. Perhaps he just works out a lot in retirement. That’s the only reasonable conclusion we can draw here.
Bonds is far from the only ballplayer to drop some pounds, but we’re guessing that his weight loss happened for different reasons than CC Sabathia’s did.
