Blue Jays’ Kendrys Morales, Marco Estrada reportedly clear waivers
The Toronto Blue Jays have a couple of players who could be interesting trade candidates by Friday’s waiver deadline.
According to Fancred’s Jon Heyman, both Kendrys Morales and Marco Estrada have cleared waivers and are therefore eligible to be traded by Friday’s deadline.

Morales has been on a hot streak, homering in seven straight games until the streak was snapped on Monday. That could appeal to some teams in the playoff race, though the $12 million he is owed next year could be a turnoff. He would likely only receive interest from AL teams as a DH option.
Estrada, who is also 35 like Morales, could be traded. He’ll be a free agent after the season, which makes a trade less complicated. He has a 5.18 ERA this year though and has not pitched well over his last four starts, so the market for him might not be too great.
