Bryce Harper is going to make Phillies fans go wild over his latest comments.
During his introductory press conference on Saturday, Harper implied he would be recruiting Mike Trout to join him on the Phillies. During an interview on Sports Radio 94 WIP Tuesday, Harper bluntly stated that he will be recruiting Trout.
Bryce Harper: "If you don't think I'm gonna call Mike Trout to come to Philly in 2020, you're crazy."

Harper said that he talked with Trout throughout his free agency process to get the Angels star’s thoughts on Philadelphia. Trout is from nearby Millville, New Jersey and grew up (and remains) a fan of Philly sports teams.
Harper emphasized that signing a 13-year deal with the Phillies and not having opt-outs will show potential free agents how committed he is to the team, which could make it easier to sell the franchise as a desirable spot for winning.
Trout is under contract for two more seasons with the Angels. He recently commented on his feelings about contract extension talks with the Anaheim club.
