First he quieted the Mets with his bat, and then he did it with his hand.
Bryce Harper homered off Bartolo Colon in the top of the fourth inning of the Washington Nationals’ game against the Mets on Thursday to give his team a 2-1 lead. The home run ironically came just as the Mets’ announcers on SNY were being critical of his swing.
They weren’t the only ones being negative towards Harper, apparently. After smacking the homer to center, Harper put his finger to his mouth to signal to Mets fans to quiet down.
