Cardinals reportedly interested in Mike Moustakas
Mike Moustakas is a free agent for the second offseason in a row, and the St. Louis Cardinals are among the teams said to have interest in him.
Fancred Sports’ Jon Heyman says that the Cardinals have Moustakas “on their radar.”
#STLCards have Mike Moustakas on radar. The difference this year: no draft choice attachment. Rival Brewers, Moose’s most recent team, among others with possible interest.

Heyman notes that unlike last year, the team that signs Moustakas will not lose a draft pick as compensation for signing him as a free agent.
Moustakas, 30, batted .251 with a .774 OPS last season. His 28 homers were the second-most of his career, behind the 38 he clubbed in 2017. The third baseman was traded to the Brewers last season and batted .200 with three RBIs in 10 postseason games.
