Clay Buchholz apologized to Phillies for getting hurt
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Clay Buchholz recently suffered a potential season-ending injury to his throwing arm, and he apparently feels some sense of responsibility for it.
Buchholz spoke to the media on Wednesday and said that he apologized to general manager Matt Klentak and others on the team for getting injured, per Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.
Clay Buchholz is here today. Said he apologized to Matt Klentak and others for getting hurt. Said he still hopes to pitch in September.

The 32-year-old Buchholz tore the flexor tendon in his right forearm and is expected to miss three to five months after undergoing surgery. However, he could presumably miss the remainder of the year if the Phillies are out of playoff contention, as expected, before he returns.
Health issues are nothing new for the veteran, but Buchholz clearly feels bad that he won’t be able to contribute to a starter-deficient Phillies team after they gave up a talented young infielder in Josh Tobias in order to acquire him.
