Cleveland fans are puffing their chests after winning Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday. Even the city’s police are trolling the Game 1 victim Chicago Cubs.
After the Indians shut out the Cubs 6-0 Tuesday, Cleveland Police sent out the following tweet trolling the Cubs:
Missing persons report filed for @Cubs offense. #RallyTogether #gooseegg #GoTribe @Indians
— Cleveland Police (@CLEpolice) October 26, 2016
That’s some quality trolling right there, but it’s hard to say it’s not deserved.
The Cubs were held scoreless on seven hits, but more importantly, they whiffed 15 times in the game. Corey Kluber got them nine times over six innings, while relievers Andrew Miller and Cody Allen each registered three strikeouts.
Indians fans better not get ahead of themselves yet as the team still needs three more victories to capture its first World Series title since 1948. If they do win it all, then the police better be prepared for this to happen.
