Connor Stalions rubbed it in on Guardians fans after playoff series loss

Cleveland Guardians fans watched their team’s season end in disappointing fashion on Thursday, and disgraced former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions was happy to rub their noses in it.

The Guardians were eliminated from the postseason with their 6-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers in Game 3 of the AL Wild Card Series between the two teams at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The Tigers did most of their damage with four runs in the seventh inning. Cleveland scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to cut the deficit to three, but they were unable to complete the comeback.

As the game was coming to an end, Stalions took a shot at Ohio sports fans via social media.

“Good thing these Guardian fans have plenty of experience hopelessly needing a miracle comeback at home against their underdog rival Michigan team,” Stalions wrote on X.

Stalions was the orchestrator of Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal two years ago. An investigation into the espionage by Stalions revealed that he purchased tickets to more than two dozen Big Ten games and forwarded them to people who would attend the games and record signals for him.

Ohio State won the national championship last year, and Michigan won it the year before. Michigan has won the last four regular-season meetings between the two teams, and Stalions is still feeding off of the involvement he had in the fierce rivalry.

Though he is no longer directly involved with the Wolverines, Stalions remains committed to the Michigan sports scene.
