Curt Schilling unloads on ‘little b—-‘ David Wells over tweet
David Wells is quite familiar with Curt Schilling from the time the former MLB stars spent pitching both with and against each other, but it’s safe to say they have not maintained a close friendship in retirement.
Wells answered some questions from Twitter followers on Wednesday, and one fan asked the left-hander if there was a player who played in the same era as him who was “generally disliked by most other players.” Wells had no problem giving the honor to Schilling.

That’s hardly a surprise. While he was an incredible competitor who helped his teams win three World Series titles, Schilling rubbed a lot of people the wrong way during his career. He has become even more disliked in retirement, and he never backs down from a feud. Of course, he couldn’t resist replying to Wells.
“At least tag me ya little b—-,” Schilling wrote in response.
Wells wasn’t saying anything we don’t already know. Schilling knows he is not popular among all of his former teammates, and that’s why he unloaded on the Red Sox two years ago when they didn’t invite him to a commemorative ceremony. Schilling’s controversial views and unapologetic attitude have resulted in him getting on the bad side of a lot of people both in and out of the MLB community.
