Homer Bailey drops F-Bomb after no-hitter: ‘I f—ing walked a guy’ (Video)
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey no-hit the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night and is now responsible for the last two no-hitters in MLB. That’s pretty awesome. He joins Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, and Mark Buehrle as the only active pitchers with multiple no-hitters. You would think that Bailey would be proud of himself for the accomplishment and in a great mood after the game, but that wasn’t entirely the case.
Bailey, who struck out nine in Cincinnati’s 3-0 win, didn’t respond positively to a FOX Sports Ohio question about the lone blemish in his game — a seventh inning walk to Gregor Blanco, which gave the Giants their only baserunner.
“Naw man, I just f—ing walked a guy. This game’s pretty tough. Regardless of what [the broadcasters] make it sound pretty easy, but this is a tough game. It’s not like I was pitching around him — I was going after him. I just missed a few spots. It’s just that simple.”
