Dallas Cowboys cornerback Cobie Durant is not in danger of amputation. Contrary to a rumor that has picked up steam on social media, Durant will keep every part of his body intact after an incident during Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Instagram account (fantasyexpert) posted a social media graphic showing Durant with the words “COBIE DURANT MAY NEED BALLS AMPUTATED” in the background. That immediately gained traction on social media to the point that the defensive back had to address it himself.
“My nuts ain’t going nowhere, fam,”Durant wrote in an Instagram Story post, while adding three laughing emojis. “Stop lying.”

An unfortunate incident in the end zone during the Commanders game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, had Durant going viral after his teammate, safety Markquese Bell, inadvertently stepped on his sensitive area. It also left him injured, as Dallas trainers helped him off the field. He left the game with just a tackle to go along with a pass defended.

Although Durant won’t need amputation, he appears at risk of missing games because of the injury he suffered in the Cowboys’ 37-20 win over the Commanders.
Durant is in his first season with the Cowboys, who signed him to a 1-year, $4 million contract in March.
