Indians could use Jason Kipnis as outfielder again
The Cleveland Indians are still trying to figure out what to do with Jason Kipnis.
The former second baseman has been displaced by Jose Ramirez at the position, and Cleveland is still trying to figure out where his future lies. Team president Chris Antonetti said Kipnis could be an option in left field depending on how Michael Brantley’s recovery goes.
Asked if Jason Kipnis in LF is a contingency plan for Brantley (if he's not ready for Opening Day), Antonetti: "That's possible, yes." Said he still needs to talk to Kipnis about position plan, and whether moving back and forth is an option.

Injuries and a lack of position led Cleveland to try Kipnis in the outfield last season, though he didn’t get much time there in what was a down season all-around for him.
