Aaron Judge’s MVP defense is already in full swing.

The New York Yankees had an all-you-can-eat buffet at the plate on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. They tagged Brewers starter Nestor Cortes, the former Yankee, for eight earned runs in two innings (sparking some funny memes). The onslaught even continued when Milwaukee turned to reliever Connor Thomas, who was shelled for another eight runs by the Yankees in his own two innings of work.

Judge, the reigning AL MVP, led the charge for New York. He mashed an absurd three home runs within just the game’s first four innings. Judge took Cortes 468 feet to deep left in the first inning, went 396 feet off Thomas in the third inning (a grand slam, no less), and added a 425-foot two-run shot off Thomas in the fourth for good measure.

Social media was in awe of Judge’s rampage at the office. Take a look at some of the best reactions.

In only those first four innings of the game, the Yankees slugged eight total home runs as a team. Judge nearly got a fourth individual homer in the sixth inning as well, barely missing the right field porch and having to settle for an RBI double off Elvis Peguero to make the score 18-6 Yankees.

The six-time All-Star Judge also picked up an RBI double on Opening Day against Milwaukee, so his 2025 season could not have started any better. There were some questions about how the Yankees would protect Judge in the batting order this year, but it turns out that you don’t really need much protection when you are simply a one-man wrecking crew.
