Josie Canseco, the daughter of MLB legend Jose Canseco, appears to be in a new relationship.
Canseco had been dating Johnny Manziel for several months, but the two broke up at some point earlier this year. There have since been rumors that Josie is dating Atlanta Braves pitcher A.J. Smith-Shawver, and she seems to have confirmed that.
Canseco shared a photo on Instagram this week that showed her with her arms wrapped around Smith-Shawver while the two were standing in a river together.
Manziel and Canseco first showed signs that they were together in April 2024. Fans noticed in February that they were no longer following each other on social media and had erased most traces of their relationship from their social media profiles. A report claimed there was no bad blood between the two but that Manziel felt he needed to focus more on himself.
Smith-Shawver is a promising young pitcher who had gotten off to a good start this season before he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in May. The 22-year-old had Tommy John surgery in June and will miss the remainder of the year in addition to most of 2026.
Prior to the injury, Smith-Shawver was 3-2 with a 3.86 ERA in nine starts.
