Jose Reyes crushed as ‘wife beater’ by New York Daily News

The New York Daily News had no concern for softening the allegations against Jose Reyes.
After the former longtime Mets shortstop made his season debut for the team Tuesday following their acquisition of him from the Rockies, Reyes was greeted with cheers. The Daily News did not care for that reception and did not mix words with their cover:

Reyes was arrested on allegations of domestic violence against his wife in November. She told police that her husband grabbed her throat and shoved her into a balcony door. Charges against him were dropped.
