Josh Hamilton released after injuring other knee during rehab
Josh Hamilton was released by the Texas Rangers on Friday amid continued problems with his knees.
Hamilton was rehabbing his left knee from surgery when he injured his right knee on a swing, according to Rangers GM Jon Daniels.
Rangers GM Jon Daniels said Josh Hamilton injured his right knee a few weeks ago hitting "rolled his right knee, his front leg in a swing."

Hamilton underwent four operations on his left knee in just over a year (he re-injured it during spring training). This injury is to his right knee and would mean his fifth surgery in a year and a half.
Now 36, Hamilton’s career is likely over.
